A “Wot’s Wot” Club Meeting!

By | February 16, 2025

Members gathered (yet again on a chilly evening!) at Carey Hall, Wareham on Thursday February 13th.

At the tail-end of 2024, it was agreed that we would adopt a ‘Club Model’ theme for 2025 based on anything designed by the one and only Chris Foss; any model airframe that came to life on his drawing board would suffice.

The purpose of our meeting then, was to collectively offer up the results of our winter build efforts for appreciation and discussion – and enjoy a cup of tea! Eight models were presented, two electric and six, i.c. (As lightly jibed by Phil, six of us are still living in the past!). All appeared complete, save one, your scribe’s Wot 4 Mk3; not far off though. As always, the build standard was high, and the aircraft array was impressive.

The headcount comprised four classic Acro Wots, one Acrowot XL, one Wot 4 XL, one Wot 4 classic and one Wot 4 Mk3. Below is a selection of photos recording the event as recorded by Phil and your scribe.

Over 2025, members will fly these models at Club competition events to be organised by our esteemed Events Manager, Keith. The first outing is tentatively booked for Easter Monday so I will hopefully have time to complete my Wot 4 Mk3!
