The Magnificent Seven!

So, in the middle of the day, we found ourselves at ‘The Clubhouse’ awaiting the arrival of Storm Isha – and the weather incompatible with safe model flying. What were we to do? A small amount of ‘house maintenance had been pre-planned but with little else to keep us occupied, the activity expanded into a great early-season clean-up and sort-out, both inside and out!

Gutters were cleared of leaf debris, dead flies given a new home, windows cleaned (you can now see through them now!) and carpets swept. The exterior paintwork experienced a subtle change of the shade of green too. Lots of elbow work required there but it was interesting to reflect that the green layer removed was likely there in the first place due to the cleanliness of the Dorset air that we have the pleasure to breathe!

The day did of course include a coffee break. This was an ideal opportunity to put all worldly aviation matters to rights; most enjoyable!

As far as our clubhouse is concerned then, we are ready for the new season – bring it on! ……..but not too many Storm Isha’s please!

Well done everyone, a most productive day!
