Contest Master of Ceremonies Peter Marshall reports…….
And yet another successful round of the phoenix 2000 glider challenge. Good weather and a lack of nasty wind made for an interesting day good at times if you picked it right to fly. Unfortunately my competition battery let me down, the climb out was pretty rubbish, but hey ho. All others did well on the day. Placings then for Sunday 4th August were:-
1st David with a score of 550
2nd Phil with a score of 517
3rd Simon with a score of 485
4Th Darren with a score of 461
5th Geoff with a score of 357
6th Dick with a score of 323
7th lastly me with a score of 268
A good time was had by all – and thanks to Shirley for the hedgehog cupcakes, they were lovely!
Overall standings are now:-
