28 July saw us enjoying our annual barbi. This year, we were given special permission by the landowner to hold it at our flying field – for which we are grateful. Darren did us proud by lugging up his gas barbi which did a fine job; thank you Darren. The event was very much enjoyed by all attendees, the fine warm evening weather being the icing on the cake. True to say though, the wind was a little unfriendly earlier and not as much flying was achieved as we had hoped, but, for some reason, it didn’t seem to bother us much……!
